To request a COVID-19 financial hardship accommodation, please follow these steps:
- Notify Cambridge Management Group, Inc. in writing as soon as possible that you are requesting an accommodation.
Please fill out this form to submit your request or mail it to our mailing address (PO Box 3387, San Diego CA 92163). Please note: this form will need to be completed for each month that you have an accommodation request and submitted by the first of that month.
You will then need to send an email with your proof of your financial hardship related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This proof can be a letter from your employer indicating that you have been furloughed, laid off, or had your hours reduced. If you are self employed, that proof might be bank statements or similar information that you are providing to a state or local resource as part of a request for assistance.
- Please reach out for financial assistance.
We have a page of resources to help you start looking and will update it as new information is available, but please also reach out to 211 (if you are in San Diego) for new sources of financial assistance as they are available.
- We will be in contact to draw up a payment plan and have it signed (in most cases where access exists, electronically via DocuSign). Repayment terms are subject to the emergency orders of the municipality that the property you lease is situated in, and contingent on a payment plan signed by all parties to the lease.
While many jurisdictions have temporarily halted evictions, they have indicated that the rent due during the emergency declaration will still need to be caught up. It is our goal to help you keep from getting too far behind – not only because it’s difficult to get caught up, but also because your rent pays not only for the owner’s mortgage, but also pays the other businesses that we use (landscapers, plumbers, electricians, etc.) so that they can pay their own employees as well.
Because this COVID-19 emergency situation is extremely fluid, we do reserve the right to amend, change or update the above steps at any time based on the information we are receiving. If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email or phone.
